This live model demo will bridge the gap between cosmetology and barbering with lots of tips and tricks, using a wide range of tools. The class will go in-depth with each step of the service and together, we will work through a contemporary, gender free haircut with a fade. ​Alex Kantor (she/they) is a hairdresser based in New York City, specializing in beautiful scissor cuts, fun razor cuts, and barbering work with clippers. She is most known for doing edgy, queer, radical, non binary styles but also loves to create classic looks. She works with all hair types, ages, genders, and neurotypes.

​Alex has been cutting hair for 20 years, starting in high school. She graduated from the Aveda Institute in Soho in 2014, became licensed and has since worked all over NYC including on Broadway, Fashion Week as well as celebrity work. Alex is a “thorough professional” (Thrillist) whose haircut fully addresses your own vibe and expression.
